Participant Media is a global entertainment company founded in 2004 by Jeff Skoll to focus on feature film, television, publishing, and digital content that inspires social change. Participant’s more than 55 films include Good Night, and Good Luck, Syriana, An Inconvenient Truth, FOOD, INC., Waiting for ‘Superman’, The Help, Contagion, and Lincoln. Participant launches campaigns that bring together government entities, foundations, schools, and others to raise awareness and drive people to take action on issues from each film or television show.

SKOLL FOUNDATION

The Skoll Foundation drives large-scale change by investing in, connecting, and celebrating social entrepreneurs and other innovators dedicated to solving the world’s most pressing problems. Social entrepreneurs are proven leaders whose approaches and solutions to social problems are helping to better the lives and circumstances of countless underserved or disadvantaged individuals. SKOLL GLOBAL THREATS FUND

The Skoll Global Threats Fund confronts global threats imperiling humanity by seeking solutions, strengthening alliances, and spurring the actions needed to safeguard the future. Created in 2009 by Jeff Skoll, its initial focus will be on five global issues that, if unchecked, could bring the world to its knees: climate change, water scarcity, pandemics, nuclear proliferation and Middle East conflict.

SKOLL WORLD FORUM

The Skoll World Forum on Social Entrepreneurship accelerates the impact of the world’s leading social entrepreneurs by uniting them with essential partners in a collaborative pursuit of learning, leverage and large scale social change. This premier gathering of the world’s leading social entrepreneurs is a program of the Skoll Foundation and is co-produced with the Skoll Center for Social Entrepreneurship at the Saïd Business School, Oxford University.
