Aman Purewal

Aman Purewal is an Executive Assistant for the Operations Team at Capricorn. She joined the firm in 2017 and assists the Partners and Operations Team on Accounting, Compliance, HR, IT and Treasury related projects. Prior to Capricorn, Aman served as a Client Analyst for Iconiq Capital, working primarily on the Operations side of the Family Office group. Aman received her B.A. in Communications from Simon Fraser University in Canada.

Amy Price

Amy Price is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities, due diligence, and deal structuring. She joined Capricorn in 2020. Prior to joining Capricorn, she worked in Goldman Sachs’ Merchant Banking Division focusing on real estate acquisitions. Amy earned a BBA in Finance from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas.

Brendan Larar

Brendan Larar is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities, due diligence, and deal structuring. He joined Capricorn in 2019. Prior to joining Capricorn, he served as a technology consultant for alternative asset managers. Brendan earned a B.S. in Industrial & Labor Relations and a Master’s in Information Sciences from Cornell University.

Carina Romano

Carina Romano is an Executive Assistant for the Investment Team at Capricorn. She joined Capricorn in 2022. Prior to Capricorn, Carina served as an Executive Assistant to the Managing Partners at Central Park Group/Macquarie. Carina studied Fashion and Textile Science at The State University of New York College at Oneonta.

Ciara Reynolds

Ciara Reynolds is an Investor Relations Associate at Capricorn. She joined Capricorn in 2022. Prior to Capricorn, she worked at PIMCO, an investment management firm focused on active fixed income management. She managed institutional corporate client relationships. Ciara received a BSM in Finance and Marketing from Tulane University.

Claire Cruz-Reyes

Claire Cruz-Reyes is an Executive Assistant at Capricorn. She joined Capricorn in 2019. Prior to Capricorn Claire served as an Executive Assistant supporting three managing partners at Artiman Ventures. Prior to Artiman Ventures Claire held various roles within the Legal/IP and Human Resources groups at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Claire received her B.A. in management from Menlo College in Atherton.

Dana Razza

Dana Razza is an Executive Assistant for the Investor Relations Team at Capricorn. She joined the firm in 2022. Prior to Capricorn, Dana served as an Executive & Personal Assistant to the Founder of Kushner Companies. Prior to that, she worked as an EA for various teams at The Carlyle Group. Dana studied Business Administration at Metropolitan College in New York City.

Dearbhla Tyler

Dearbhla Tyler is an Executive Assistant at Capricorn. She joined Capricorn in 2021. Prior to Capricorn, Dearbhla served as a Tax Administrator for Realty Operations Group. Dearbhla studied Geography and Environmental Resource Management at University College Dublin, Ireland.

Deepak Ahuja

Deepak Ahuja is a Senior Advisor to Capricorn Investment Group. Prior to joining Capricorn, he served as CFO of Tesla (2008-2015 and 2017- 2019). Prior to Tesla, he was at Ford Motor Company for 15 years, serving as CFO of Ford Southern Africa and CFO for Auto Alliance International. In 2010, Deepak was named CFO of the year for small public companies by Silicon Valley Business Journal.

Deepak holds an M.S.I.A. from Carnegie Mellon Univirsity, an M.S. in Materials Engineering from Northwestern University, and a B. Tech in ceramic Enginering from IIT-BHU.

Dipender Saluja

Dipender Saluja is a Partner of Capricorn Investment Group, and a Managing Director of Capricorn’s Technology Impact Fund. Prior to Capricorn, Dipender was Chief of Staff at Cadence, a global market leader in electronic design. Prior to Cadence, he worked at Data General (EMC), Honeywell, ROLM (IBM), and the GF Energy Research Center. He is an electrical engineer by training, and attended UND, University of Minnesota and Stanford Univeristy. Dipender serves on the boards of AST, Automatiks, Encell, GotIt, Innovium, Joby Aviation, Navitas, QuantumScape, RayVio, Saildrone, Sense and Sunpreme, is a member of the Leadership Council of Cyclotron Road, and is on the Investment Committee of PRIME.

Eric Techel

Eric Techel is a Partner, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Capricorn Investment Group. He joined Capricorn in 2007. Prior to Capricorn, Eric was a Senior Manager with Deloitte in the Special Acquisition Services Group, which focused on due diligence for potential acquisitions of KKR. He spent 11 years with Deloitte in San Francisco, Bermuda, and Los Angeles. Eric is a CPA (inactive) and received his B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Greg D’Alessandro

Greg D’Alessandro is the Director of Strategic Relationships at Capricorn Investment Group. Prior to joining Capricorn, Greg was a Vice President at AQR Capital Management overseeing institutional investor relationships throughout North America. Before AQR, he was a summer associate at Causeway Capital and an analyst within J.P. Morgan’s investment banking division. Greg earned a B.B.A. from The College of William and Mary and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago with concentrations in analytic finance and economics. He is a CAIA charterholder.

Ion Yadigaroglu

Ion Yadigaroglu is a Partner and member of the Investment Committee of Capricorn Investment Group and a Managing Director of Capricorn’s Technology Impact Fund. He is an early investor in iconic technology companies including Tesla, SpaceX, Planet, QuantumScape and Saildrone. Prior to Capricorn, Ion was a Director of Business Development with Koch Industries, executing a range of acquisitions and investments. Prior to Koch, he was a founder and Chief Executive Officer at Bivio, a software startup in Colorado, and an Analyst for Olsen & Associates, a foreign exchange analytics company. Ion was a research fellow at Columbia University and holds a Masters in Physics from Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich in Switzerland and a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from Stanford University.

Jeff Chu

Jeff Chu is an Accounting & Analytics Manager at Capricorn. He joined Capricorn in 2014. Prior to Capricorn, Jeff served as a Clients Operations Manager and Derivative Operations Manager at State Street Corporation. Jeff received his B.S. in Managerial Economics from University of California, Davis.

Jérôme de Bontin

Jérôme de Bontin is a Partner and Strategic Advisor at Capricorn Investment Group. He joined Capricorn in 2020 and is primary responsibility for sourcing investment opportunities and working with portfolio funds on strategy, marketing, and distribution.  Previously, Jerome was President and Chief Executive Officer of Mékar Financial Services, an Asset Management and Investment Advisory firm and its subsidiary Sustainability Investments, L.L.C (SILLC).  Before founding Mékar in 1998, Jerome was President and CEO of Crédit Agricole Futures, a French subsidiary of one of the world’s largest banks and a pioneer in Trading Advisors and Hedge Fund investments. He graduated from Amherst College in 1981 with a degree in Economics

Jim Lyons

Jim Lyons serves as the lead technologist for venture investing at Capricorn.  He joined Capricorn in 2011.  Prior to Capricorn Jim was Chief Engineer for Electrical Technologies at GE Research, serving as technology leader and mentor for a 250-member global team.  Jim holds 40+ patents, a B.S.E.E. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, an M.S.E.E. from Virginia Tech, and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer science from Cornell University.

Jimmy Jian

Jimmy Jian is a Senior Analyst for Fund Accounting at Capricorn. He joined Capricorn in 2017. Prior to Capricorn, Jimmy served as a Senior Audit Associate for KPMG under the Financial Services – Asset Management group in San Francisco. Jimmy graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from San Francisco State University.

Jones Thomas

Jones Thomas is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities, due diligence, and deal structuring. He joined Capricorn in 2018. Prior to joining Capricorn, Jones served as a student investment analyst for the Cornell University Endowment. Prior to Cornell University Endowment, Jones worked as a credit analyst at Credit Suisse and as a technology consultant on automation at Deloitte. Jones completed his BTech in Electronics Engineering from National Institute of Technology Calicut and MS in Financial Engineering from Cornell University.

Julia Mattox

Julia Mattox is an Investor Relations Manager for Capricorn Investment Group. Prior to joining Capricorn, Julia worked in Investor Relations and Marketing with PAAMCO Prisma, an alternative investment management firm, where she managed institutional client relationships.

Julia is a graduate of the University of Virginia and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.

Jy Bhardwaj

Jy Bhardwaj provides analysis for technology investments and assists portfolio companies at Capricorn.  He joined Capricorn in 2019.  Jy brings over 20 years of expertise in creating and managing innovative, leading edge technology and exponential business development in various companies in Silicon Valley.  Prior to Capricorn, Jy served as CTO and Senior Vice President of R&D at Philips Lumileds for 8 years.  Jy began his career as CTO of STS, a Sumitomo owned company, which went public on the AIM Stock Exchange in London in 2000.  Jy co-founded and served as the CEO of Scion Photonic, which was later acquired by JDS Uniphase Corporation. Upon acquisition, Jy held several positions at JDS Uniphase, including Vice President, General Manager and CTO of Optical Communication.  Jy holds a Bachelor’s degree and Ph.D. in Engineering from Liverpool University.

Karen Chen

Karen Chen is the Director of Finance at Capricorn. She joined Capricorn in 2007. Prior to Capricorn, Karen was the Finance Director for National Press Photographers Association, and Senior Accountant at Rothstein Kass. Karen received a B.S. in Health Administration and a Master’s in Accounting from the University of North Carolina.

Knut Simonsen

Knut Simonsen is a Senior Advisor to Capricorn Investment Group where he supports decarbonization, energy storage, renewable and technology investments.  Knut has deep expertise in renewables, electric utilities, pipelines, oil & gas, venture capital and M&A.  Prior to Capricorn, Knut served 20 years in leadership roles at DTE Energy; as VP of corporate strategy and M&A and as President of DTE VC group. Prior experience includes McKinsey & Company, ChevronTexaco, Den Norske Bank, and the Norwegian Navy.  Knut has an MBA in Finance from Columbia University and a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Konrad Jarausch

Konrad Jarausch provides analysis for technology investments and assists portfolio companies at Capricorn. He joined Capricorn in 2015. Prior to Capricorn, Konrad led Passport Capital’s public market (long-short) and venture investments in cleantech/energy, materials and semiconductors. Konrad started his career working on a development line at Intel Corporation where he managed a failure analysis group in the yield organization. Konrad holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science from North Carolina State University where he was trained as a microscopist.

Krishna Desai

Krishna Desai is the Finance Manager at Capricorn. She joined Capricorn in 2017. Krishna brings over 20 years of accounting experience, and primarily handles all accounting and HR functions for Capricorn and its affiliates. Prior to Capricorn, Krishna worked as salaried professional for Robert Half. Prior to Robert Half, Krishna was a Senior Financial Analyst at TriplePoint Capital LLC. She received her Bachelor of Commerce from India and Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) from UK.

Kunle Apampa

Kunle Apampa is a Director and Head of Client Solutions & Partnerships at Capricorn Investment Group, one of the largest mission-aligned investment firms globally. Kunle is responsible for the institutional growth of Capricorn as a mission-aligned Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO). Prior to joining Capricorn, Kunle was Vice President at Goldman Sachs Imprint, an ESG & Impact Investment platform within Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Kunle spent over a decade at Goldman Sachs, holding several leadership roles within the firm’s Global Markets division as well as the Finance division. Kunle holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering, specializing in Energy, Environment & Economics, from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Kunle is based in New York City.

Kwan-Yin Graw

Kwan-Yin Graw is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities, due diligence, and deal structuring. She joined Capricorn in 2022. Prior to joining Capricorn, she served as an Associate Director at BankFWD, a non-profit focused on ending banks’ fossil fuel financing. Prior to BankFWD, she worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch on the Mortgage Back Securities trading desk. Kwan-Yin earned a BSc in Finance and a minor in Economics from The Pennsylvania State University.

Lisa Wilhelmy

Lisa Wilhelmy is a Business Operations Manager at Capricorn. She has been with the firm since October 2011, primarily handling the treasury functions, legal document execution, and ongoing communication for investment transactions. Prior to Capricorn, Lisa was a Portfolio Accounting Analyst for Deutsche Bank. Prior to Deutsche Bank, she was a Mutual Fund Accountant at Capital Research and Management Company. Lisa received her B.A. in Business Finance with a Minor in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University.

Mandira Reddy

Mandira Reddy is the Director for Investment Analytics at Capricorn. She joined Capricorn in 2013. Prior to Capricorn, Mandira served as a Portfolio Manager for Intel Capital and a Corporate Finance Analyst for Intel. Mandira received her M.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign and an M.B.A. from T.A. Pai Management Institute in India. Mandira is also a CFA charter holder.

Marie-Céline Damnon

Marie-Céline Damnon is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities, due diligence, and deal structuring. She joined the firm in 2018. Prior to Capricorn, she worked as a consultant at Akoya Consulting. Marie-Céline earned her Master in Management and MSc in Sustainability and Social Innovation from HEC Paris.

Martin Cuenca

Martin Cuenca is an Accounting Manager at Capricorn. He joined Capricorn in November 2015. Prior to Capricorn, Martin served as a Senior Tax Accountant for Ernst & Young under the Financial Services – Asset Management group in San Francisco. Martin received his B.S. in Accounting Information Systems from San Jose State University.

Mathilde Fournier

Mathilde Fournier is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities, due diligence, and deal structuring. She joined Capricorn in 2022. Prior to Capricorn, she worked as an advisor at the French Government Spokesperson’s office and as a financial consultant at Accuracy. Mathilde earned her Master in Management from HEC Paris and her Master of Public Affairs from Sciences Po Paris.

Michaela Edwards

Michaela Edwards is a Partner and member of the Investment Committee of Capricorn Investment Group.  Prior to joining Capricorn in 2019, she spent nine years as a Senior Portfolio Manager with Norges Bank Investment Management, the sovereign wealth fund of Norway, where she sourced, constructed and managed a two billion dollar global environmental portfolio in addition to mandates in Latin America and developed markets. Prior to Norges, Michaela worked as a research analyst for Russell Investments in London and New York. She received an MSc in Investment Management from Cass Business School in London and her Bachelor degree in International Business from Oslo University College. She is a CFA charter holder.

Pavit Grewal

Pavit Grewal is a Senior Analyst for Fund Accounting at Capricorn. She joined Capricorn in September 2021. Prior to Capricorn, Pavit served as a Senior Fund Accountant for Levine Leichtman Capital Partners LLC. Prior to Levine Leichtman Capital Partners, she was an Accounting Manager at StepStone Group LP. Pavit received her B.A. in Economics from UC Riverside.

Robert Schultz

Robert Schultz is a Partner of Capricorn Investment Group.  Prior to Capricorn, he was the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Greentech Capital Advisors, an investment bank and asset management firm focused on creating a more efficient and sustainable global infrastructure, which was sold to Nomura in April 2020.   Prior to Greentech, he was a Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Morgan Stanley Fund Services and before that was a Managing Director and Head of Alternative Fund Services, North America for HSBC.  Rob is a Chartered Accountant and received his Bachelor of Commerce, with Honors, from Queen’s University in Canada.  He is currently a Director of Help for Children and on the Advisory Board for Brighter Children.

Ryan Larsen

Ryan Larsen is the Director of Data and Analytics at Capricorn. Prior to joining Capricorn, Ryan was a Senior Product Manager and lead developer for cross-platform analytics at Addepar – a financial reporting company. Prior to Addepar, Ryan served as a controls engineer for several early stage hardware startups. Ryan received a B.S. in Physics from Harvey Mudd College and an M.B.A from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.

William Orum

William Orum is a Partner and member of the Investment Committee of Capricorn Investment Group. He joined the Firm in 2004 and has been based in its New York office since 2008. William has primary responsibility for leading marketable investments, portfolio construction, and risk management across asset classes. Prior to Capricorn, he was an investment banker with Merrill Lynch in their global industries group focused on corporate finance and M&A advisory for technology clients. William received a BA from Amherst College and an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business.

Winnie Lai

Winnie Lai is an Accounting Manager at Capricorn. She joined Capricorn in 2017. Prior to joining, Winnie was a Tax Accountant specializing in financial services for Ernst & Young and commercial services for Rothstein Kass. Winnie received her B.S. in Business Accounting at San Francisco State University.

Yuliya Sharinova

Yuliya Sharinova is a Portfolio Management Senior Analyst at Capricorn. She joined the firm in 2014. Prior to Capricorn, Yuliya worked in the valuation practice of various professional services companies. Her position immediately prior to Capricorn was with the transaction advisory practice of Ernst & Young. Yuliya received her B.S. Business Administration with a double concentration in accounting and finance from San Jose State University. She also holds Bachelor’s and Master’s-equivalent degrees in Linguistics and Translation from Alfred Nobel University in Ukraine. Yuliya is a CFA charter holder.
